Pesticide registration in India is granted by the CIB&RC Registration Committee under Section 9 of the Insecticides Act, 1968. Section 9(3) covers products new to India, Section 9(4) covers products already registered by another company, and Section 9(3B) allows provisional registration in specified cases. Registrations are issued for technical or formulation, by import or indigenous manufacture.
